“Our ancestors influenced philosophy, metaphysics, science, art, law, etc. Our collective amnesia is over and we are taking ownership of our history. Our future is in motion.” – Djely Tapa
Between earth and sky, Dankoroba propels Malian traditions into an Afro-futuristic, cosmic experience. Produced in Montreal with several guests (Adama Yalomba, Vieux Farka Touré...), traditional instruments recorded in Mali (ndan, ngoni, sokou...) blend sumptuously with electronic beats. Djely Tapa's golden voice expresses empowerment, hope, love and unity.
