This year’s Prix Opus for inclusion and diversity – Montreal goes to Djely Tapa, who distinguished herself admirably during the 2019-2020 season.

« There’s no doubt that Djely Tapa has made her mark on Québec’s world music scene in the last few seasons with her unique voice and musical styling. The jury specifically wishes to acknowledge her unique singing style and the clear and profound way she describes her artistic approach and her place as an artist in Québec society as a singer, griot and leader in her artistic and cultural community », wrote the Conseil des arts de Montréal.

Since 1996, the CQM has presented the annual Opus Awards , which acknowledge excellence in Québec's concert music community.
